District Comprehensive Plan

Comprehensive Plan: 2014 - 2017

Currently the district is in the beginning stages of developing our Comprehensive Plan, formerly referred to as the district strategic plan.  The comprehensive plan will span three years and will be developed through the collaboration and communication from parents, community members, local business employees, and board members as well as our teachers, staff and students.  The comprehensive plan consists of several smaller plans that are intertwined together; these include: Academic Standards and Assessment, Student Services and Records, Teacher Induction, Professional Education, Special Education, and Educational Technology.

As this plan develops it is essential to gather as much data and feedback from all stakeholders to help determine the best path and direction for the district.  This need is being addressed through the development of perception surveys for the following groups: community members, parents, district professional staff, district support staff, and students.  All surveys will be completed online and are available now until the end of February.  The student surveys will be completed at school, in specific classrooms according to the directions given by the teachers.

Community members, parents and district staff are asked to use the links below to complete all surveys that they feel apply to them.  Thank you in advance for taking your time to answer these questions and take an active part in the future direction of Northern Bedford County School District.
