Mr. Scott King, Northern Bedford County School District Superintendent


Mr Scott King Scott King grew up in rural Pennsylvania in York County.  He is a graduate of Northeastern High School, class of 1967.  He then attended and graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Secondary History in 1971.  Scott began his education career as a Social Studies teacher at Hollidaysburg Senior High School in 1972.  After several years of teaching Scott returned to Shippensburg to obtain a Master's Degree in Secondary Counseling which was finished in 1977 prior to becoming the Secondary Guidance Counselor for Hollidaysburg Senior High School.  In 1986, Scott earned his Principal certification from Penn State Univeristy.  This allowed him to become the Assistant High School Principal/Atheltic Director at Huntingdon High School, that same year.  In 1988, he moved to Central High School as the Assitant High School Principal/Atheltic Director.  During the next several years he worked to obtained his Superintendent certification from Penn State Univeristy, finishing in 1992.  The following year he accepted the position as Junior/Senior High School Principal at Moshannon Valley Area School District and later was appointed to Assistant Superintendent with Moshannon Valley in 1995.  In 2004, Scott accepted the position as the Superintendent of the Harmony Area School District prior to being appointed Superintendent of the Northern Bedford County School District in 2007.


Dawn Fetsko, Supervisor of Special Education

Dawn Horvath Dawn Fetsko is a graduate of Portage Area High School.  She attended Slippery Rock University and earned a bachelor's degree in Special Education. She continued her education by attending Millersville University and received a master's degree in Elementary Education.   Additionally, she holds certificates as a Reading Specialist and a Supervisor of Special Education.  Ms. Fetsko has 21 years of experience in public education.  She was hired as Northern Bedford County School District's Special Education Supervisor in July of 2008.

 
 
 Mr. Trevor Replogle, Elementary School Principal

Trevor Regplogle
Trevor Replogle is a graduate of Northern Bedford County High School.  He earned his bachelors degree in elementary education from Shippensburg University and a master of education degree from Frostburg State University.  Mr. Replogle has been working with Northern Bedford Middle School students since the middle school opened in 1997.  He taught 7thgrade science and English before being hired as the Middle School/High School Dean of Students in 2002.  He was hired as the Middle School Principal in 2005 and later became the Elementary School Principal in 2012.


Mr. Wayne Sherlock, Middle School Principal and Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction

Mr. Wayne SherlockWayne Sherlock is a 1982 graduate of the Northern Bedford County School District.  He received a bachelors degree in Business Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  While teaching data processing and computer technology at the Greater Johnstown AVTS for 15 years, Wayne coached cross country, wrestling, and track & field in addition to serving as athletic director.  Earning a Master of Education Degree in Administration and Supervision from Frostburg, MD State University provided Wayne the opportunity to serve as the assistant junior/senior high principal and athletic director at Ferndale Area School District.  He returned to Northern Bedford in January 2003 as associate middle/high school principal becoming the high school principal in 2005.  Subsequently, he has completed course work from Shippensburg University obtaining Superintendent Letter of Eligibility Certification leading to his current position as Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction beginning July 2010.  He became the Middle School Principal in 2012.
 
Mr. David A. Burkett, Senior High School Principal
 

Dave BurkettDavid A. Burkett is a graduate from Claysburg-Kimmel High School.  He earned his bachelors degree from Penn State University in Secondary Education Social Studies in 1998.  Mr. Burkett began his career here at Northern Bedford County School District in 2001 as a Social Studies teacher.  He obtained his Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University in 2003.  Mr. Burkett continued on with his studies through Gannon University and received his Principal certification in 2005. Then in the summer of 2005 he became the Asst. High School Principal before transitioning to the Senior High School Principal in May 2010, through the present.
